“It was a short period, but I was able to experience Finnish food, housing, nature, culture and overall lifestyle. I had many opportunities to try local foods and also experienced Finnish wooden house while I were staying in Heidi’s house and small cottages. The swamp exploration, the boat riding on the lake, the sauna and swimming, and the visit of old churches and castle were impressive. Above all, the meditation time in archipelago was very good to me. Still now the sound of birch trees and water waves remained in my heart.”

The weather was good, not too could -10°. The tour was well organised, as usually with Adventure Apes. The guides are professionals, you can relay on them. The gear is excellent. Sleeping in the huts, saves you a lot of time. But if you want,, you can put up your tent. In the huts, its easyier too cook than in tents. The sauna-experience in the wild was magnificient ! The view was splendid, and it was so quiet, everywhere. We saw the Aurora Borealis. Pallas Yllas is a beautiful park. We have to do everything to preserve it. Thank you Heidi and your team!

“The Canoe Expedition for our family was really succesful. Children were canoing at first time ever, quidance was excellent and we have also Andy the Ape with us in canoe. Livojärvi was great lake to canoe with great views and distance to overnight camp was suitable for kids +-10years. We went also for a small walk to nature during canoe, which was nice little stop. Kids liked this trip very much, and also we parents too.”
