Adventure Apes has been an active partner in the EU-funded FORESTWELL project, which develops innovative vocational education and training (VET) approaches for forest-based wellbeing, wellness and tourism. The project’s aim is to create an engaging teaching module in an Augmented Reality environment that helps VET providers, learners and entrepreneurs harness the growing trend of forest wellbeing.
At the heart of our contribution is practical, place-based content: hands-on forest wellbeing programmes, inclusive nature experiences and digitally enhanced learning materials that translate real field practice into teachable modules. Working with Mood of Finland and other Nordic partners allowed us to test formats that combine on-site activities (guided forest walks, sensory exercises, low-impact workshops) with digital tools that reinforce learning and accessibility.
FORESTWELL has helped Adventure Apes scale our educational impact by turning local case work into shareable learning assets for vocational schools and small tourism businesses. The outcome strengthens workforce skills, supports community wellbeing offers, and makes it easier for entrepreneurs to adopt regenerative and inclusive practices.
If you’re curious about integrating forest wellbeing into training or tourism products, Adventure Apes can share tested case materials and guidance developed through FORESTWELL and Mood of Finland’s coordinating work.
