  • Adventure Apes presented in ATTA seminar, Switzerland as only Finnish company

ATTA (Adventure Travel Trade Association) is the world’s leading network in the adventure and nature tourism sector, with around 30,000 members spanning the globe.

Each year, ATTA brings together tour operators, guides, destination managers, and other stakeholders to share best practices, build connections, and promote responsible travel.

We are proud that Adventure Apes was the only Finnish company represented at ATTA’s annual seminar in Lugano, Switzerland. Our CEO, Heidi Savolainen, stood alongside global leaders discussing how adventure tourism can contribute to environmental protection, cultural respect, and economic benefit for local communities.

The event lacked the stuffiness that is characteristic of many trade fairs, and the atmosphere was relaxed in every way. Everyone was interested in their neighbors, and the sense of community was palpable. I have never experienced anything like this at any other event in Finland or abroad. A small company does not have the resources to participate in several international events each year, and for Seikkailuapinat, this seems to be the number one choice for where to go in the future.

Being part of ATTA means much more than networking — it reinforces our commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and innovation. Through this global platform, we aim to bring insights and inspiration home, continuously enhancing our responsible adventure offerings.
